Guest Posted June 19, 2003 Posted June 19, 2003 For some reason it won't allow me to upload a picture for use as a logo for a company; I sniffed around a little and discovered in fact it won't allow me to upload ANYTHING via OSC. I can of course use FTP and my host's cutesey web-based frontend, but nothing goes up via php at all. I'm using yahoo  hosting (/not/ geocities, but their supposedly-industrial-strength hosting service) so there may be a problem in there someplace? I'm fairly new to mysql and php so pretend I've no clue where my own arse is. Thanks a million, I really love this system!!! Dan
Guest Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 I don't really think it's the file manager, I kinda almost think it's something with Yahoo. I was using (or trying to use and being utterly frustrated by) another cart program and switched to this one because of this same problem. I first saw it (under OSC) when trying to use the admin panel to upload an image for a product. I hit 'browse', picked out the .gif off my desktop, hit go, and got the usual blank screen. I clicked 'back' and it told me no such file. Went digging in Yahoo's file manager and sure enough, no file. It didn't update the database with the file location either, which I found kinda odd. I'm still very much new to PHP, go easy on me. :)
Midnght Posted June 20, 2003 Posted June 20, 2003 Make sure the write permissions on your image directory is at 777 or so. As well as other directories you plan to use the web manager for. As it needs the permissions to write or it won't work.
