I'm not a tech head but I think you have to chmod the file you can normally do this from your ftp program.

Can you log onto the server that gives you the error? If it is Unix/Linux based, you can

chmod a-w configure.php

If it is Windows based with a FAT filesystem or NTFS using simple sharing, right click on the file and make it Read-Only. If it is Windows with NTFS and ACL security, right click on the file; select the security tab; select the Internet user and give that person just read permissions.

If you only have FTP access to the machine, many FTP programs will allow you to change the permissions to read only.

Good luck,

Matt

Matt

thank you for your help

I tried with ftp still not working

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /htdocs/istore/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.
