browe Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 I have enabled our max shipping weight to be 1,000. We get error messages as soon as the weight gets over 100 pounds. Any ideas? Bruce Rowe Sale Manager Nitro-Pak Preparedness Center Heber City, UT 84032 (800)866-4876
ocularmagic Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 UPS won't ship anything over 150 lbs. So if whatever you are adding to the cart is over 150 lbs. it will probably error. If you set the max shipping weight to 150 lbs., it would break up the shipment into 150 lbs. increments. Then it could get a quote for that. Hope that helps. If every member of this board donated $1 to the dev team, that would be over $11,000.00. Don't you think this cart is worth at least a $1????
tcpinhead Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 Hello Bruce, I think this is a limitation of the UPS estimator. We found if you get over 150 pounds it will give you an error. I'm not sure if there is a work around. Because we only have a few heavy items we put a fixed price for the items that would send an order over weight and a little note that we would contact the customer regarding shipping. By the way, I am just over the mountain to the west in Alpine. Terral
browe Posted June 18, 2003 Author Posted June 18, 2003 Thanks for the help! I limited the max weight to 40 lbs (our avg shipment is 35-40 lbs) and now we can ship over 150 pounds--and it roughly estimates the number of boxes. And Terral, our side of the mountain is nicer than your side! :P Bruce Rowe Sale Manager Nitro-Pak Preparedness Center Heber City, UT 84032 (800)866-4876
