Guest Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 I am looking to switch from IC to this cart, I have installed, and it runs at this point, however I am unable to access the admin folder at all from a browser. I get this error Fatal error: Call to undefined function: do_mod_block_it() in /home/randyo/public_html/admin/index.php on line 189 I was unable to find any referrence to this error in the forums. If someone has seen this before I could sure use a bit of help thx
Guest Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 I just downloaded the current CVS I should say installed I suppose. it is a new install also
Guest Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 it might be a bug in the current cvs... i have never heard of that function before, but a lot of changes have been taking place over the past couple of weeks as the release of Milestone 2 is upon us and everyone is holding their breath, well, not everyone, but people are eagerly waiting for the MS2 release where that should be fixed if you have a way of doing a batch search of the files in the admin folder, then do a search on all files for that function name - it could be a simple fix such as placing a requires('includes/function_file_name'); into the file that is generating the error
Guest Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 I just buzzed over to your site at wiki, and looked at your install directions and suprise, the version i installed did not have an Install Directory at all, I just configured the config.php files myself. SO I am going to try this other release with an "Install" option sheeshhh someone kick me?
Guest Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 you will get used to it - we all started at the beginning... but once you get over these sorts of humps, then the cart becomes much easier to work with and modify
Guest Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 Oh i certainly hope so, I am so tired of problems with interchange and my clients sites. I wish Cpanel would up and offer this cart or any other for that matter and quit acting like they support the stuff they distribute. Lucky only a few of my hosting clients use IC in the first place and would love to migrate them to a cart that has some real support
Guest Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 you should find this much much easier to use than IC (which to me has an extremely high learning curve) it helps to learn php so you can tweak and tune and modify the site however you want
Guest Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 Ok we got this up and running, there was one omission in the directions and that has to do with the location of the ADMIN folder. it says you can put it in the root or inside the catalog, well the system is setup for it to be inside the catalog folder. Works perfect. Thank you for the instruction page at the wiki site. :)
