One sub-category be in more than one category?

I LOVE the copy product to more then one category using linked option.

 

Is there a contribution that will handle this for subcategories, i.e. "copy to" and link the sub-category to another category?

I was wondering about this as well. Can we put in the categories field "n,n" for parent_id? That would put the sub-category in 2 categories - if it will work.
