My two shipping methods are: 24 hour and 48 hour (for UK mainland) I need to add 24 and 48 hour for two different areas of the UK, both with different prices! Anyone know how I can achieve this? Any help appreciated, cash paid ;o)
Guest Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 the tricky bit about your problem is differentiating between different areas of the UK. This can be acheived in several ways: by adding county based codes to your customers sign up form and putting in county based shipping, or by by making a "new" country called UK (offshore Isles) or whatever and giving it a unique ISO code. Then you could simply add a new zone to your current shipping tables for that new country. This said most of my clients usually just charge a little bit more for everyone in the UK to cover the costs of island shipping.
Guest Posted June 17, 2003 Posted June 17, 2003 I just tried to install the regions contribution.. having problems with it! I have three regions, UK Mainland, highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland. All three would need a 24 hour and 48 hour shipping option. prices would be different for each option. I thought that Jorge's regions contribution would fix this, although what you suggested seemed feasible. the tricky bit about your problem is differentiating between different areas of the UK. Hopefully the customers would just select from an optin before payment, there region and when they want it! (24hr or 48hr) I sthis something you or anyone else can help with?
