Order emails not going through

Hello all,

I don't know where to start looking for the problem.

All I know is that my order emails are not going through.

I can, however, send out an email if I use the mail option (mail.php) in the admin page.

I tried test ordering a product. After the order is confirmed, my test account does not get an order confirmation. Also, the store email does not get a notice of the order.

I can only view the orders via the Orders panel in the admin.

Also, if I update the status and comments of the customer order, the customer does not get an email notification.

I checked the following options in the admin:

email options (configuration.php):

Send out emails 1 (true)

Email transport method sendmail

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hey all,

It seems to be working now. I put in a new order after I set the "send e-mails" to true and it seems to go through. My first few test orders were with the send email option off (default).

It's still kinda screwy at times, though. With one account, I changed the status to Shipped and it did not send a customer update. I had to alternate from Processing to Shipped a few times to finally receive an email.

Anyway, my main concern now is that the comments part sent out via the emails is displayed as EMAIL_TEXT_COMMENTS_UPDATE.

How can I change this to display the actual comments?
