kidjan Posted June 16, 2003 Posted June 16, 2003 I recently installed Oscommerce on my W2K box, running PHP 4.3.1 and MYSQL 2.23.56. I'm running IIS 5. Configuration went smoothly, and everything seemed to install without any problems. However, when I try to use the catalog or admin tool, it seems like I randomly get the following error: The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete set of HTTP headers. The headers it did return are: ...and there's no list of headers that were returned. Oscommerce *sort* of works, but for the most part this error happens once every three or four times I click on any link, either in the administration or catalog section... After doing a search, it seems that several other people are having similar problems on their Windows install--anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this error? Any help is, as always, much appreciated. Ciao, Jer
kidjan Posted June 16, 2003 Author Posted June 16, 2003 Excuse me: that should be MYSQL 3.23.56 - sorry.
kidjan Posted June 17, 2003 Author Posted June 17, 2003 It seems I'm not the only one with this error, or something very similar: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...+headers+return http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...+headers+return http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...+headers+return http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...+headers+return Please, does anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this error? I'm really drawing a blank here...
kidjan Posted June 17, 2003 Author Posted June 17, 2003 Okay, I answered my own question....to anyone running an IIS/MS/PHP configuration, do the following to fix the error: 1. In IIS, go to (Your Site) -> Properties -> Home Directory -> Configuration -> .php -> Edit 2. Make sure that "Check that file exists" is CHECKED. That should clear it up--I know it did with me. Why in God's name that makes a difference, I don't know....totally bizarre. Although my problem is fixed, does anyone have ANY idea why this would make such a big difference?
