Jaguar Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 Has anybody taken a stab on what it would take to create a datapump that only uploads/downloads critical site data that would be needed in a remote management environment, such as a handheld or a remote collection terminal? A MySQL database is fairly lean in comparison to other SQL databases, however putting a full-fledged OSC database on a device such as a handheld may consume too much memory. Such a datapump could be configured to only export new order info from the main site or only allowed price changes to be uploaded from the handheld. Loren The great thing about beating your head against the wall is that it feels SO GOOD when you stop!
