ctimmerman Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 I installed osCommerce from my host cpanel and have started setting up a store and everything seems to be in working order. The only problem I have, is how can I edit the actual store pages. For example, the main store page shows the text "This is a demonstration online-shop, any products purchased will not be delivered nor billed. Any information seen on these products are to be treated fictional. If you wish to download this sample shop, or to contribute to this project, please visit the support site. This shop is based on osCommerce 2.2-CVS." I would like to remove this and replace with my own store information, but have no idea what the file names are. It looks like default.php, but I cannot seen to edit it in anyway.
Guest Posted June 15, 2003 Posted June 15, 2003 That is default.php , go to cpanel to edit it, ftp the file, I alwise make a copy, edit the copy, then load the copy , call it default_1.php, rename the default file , I do default_org.php, for original, then rename your new file , default.php and check to see it everything is ok, do not get rid of your original untill you have finished and test the store for purchases, sometimes files can cause a problem when SSL is turned on. Oh the file is at catalog/includes/lanugages/english/or what ever your using, if your using more than one lanugage, if need to edit all your using
