Why does oSC add $1.44 to the price?

I am in the process of setting up a shop. I had couple of

questions.

1. Why does oSc add $1.44 to the product price of $12.00 which I have specified in the products admin page (making the price appear as $13.44)?

2. WHich file defines "TABLE_HEADING_MANUFACTURER" and other

such contants? I did not see this in accounts_top.php (Unfortunately my web hosting service has not provided me with a shell account yet

for me to grep the files on this).

Thanks

Usually that definitions are on the catalog/includes/languages files.

You may want to use a local editor that allows you to do multiple-file search and replace.

On my local WinXP box I use Ultraedit32, which I highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I do not see this "display price with tax"

parameter in Configuration/Mystore.

I think I have CVS 2.2 installed by my web host.
