Hi All

the store I'm currently redesigning using OSC currently uses WorldPay as our secure gateway and payment processor, we've been with them for some time six or seven months and I wondered if it was worth trying to negotiate a lower processing fee with them, when setting up the account I asked if this was possible, they replied that it may be possible depending on turnover etc etc they could take another look in 6 months when the account has been running. We are currently on 4.5% for credit card transactions, I wondered what everybody else is currently charged by WorldPay and if they have managed to get this figure down? Also I wondered if anybody has managed to get the remitance period down to less than a month?

It would be nice to get a ball park figure to throw at them and know I may have a realistic chance of getting it.

I don't trust large financial corporations as far as I could, well, you get the idea, it would be nice to get a bit of a discussion going to find out what they really charge everyone for their services. (Of course it could just be me being paranoid  )

They are owned by another bank now, aren't they? Abbey National springs to mind. I guess that makes them bigger and far less likely to negotiate.

Check out your recent transactions...they just billed me twice for the annual fee. They also billed it to the wrong sub-account, which means there ain't enough money for them to simply deduct it from what they owe me. They didn't attempt to sort out the double billing until I rang them.

Many Thanks,

Steve
