Sorry for my bad english, but I've a problem with apache and oscommerce: I've installed and correctly configured oscommerce ms 2.2 upon a red hat 9 with apache and it works great. The problem is that I want to protect the /admin/ folder to prevent anonymous access. I tryed with .htaccess/.htpasswd (and also with .htpasswd + Per-directory options into the httpd.conf) and the result is always the same: the browser always ask me for the password also if I insert the correct password. I'm sure that my configuration .htaccess/.htpasswd isn't wrong because I've tryed the same configuration upon a red hat 8 (another PC) and it works very well (i can reach the protect zone after the password insert). Please, can someone help me ? Without this help my job upon oscommerce will stop, and it's very important for me to solve it. Thanks in advance to all. Bye, Alex.
