All works well, EXCEPT that the 1 st item (not always the same) gets 3 lbs added automatically, wish my book was really THAT big! 8) Any way to fix this or work around? Shipping North America only so far. Also, the USPS auto calculation doesn't work, but that is not important. Thanks in advance. :? Paul

Guest Posted June 12, 2003 Posted June 12, 2003 Handling fee was $ 0.00, changed it to $0.99 to see, no difference, still get 3 lbs extra, handling fee would only affect dollar amount anyway,,, it is the WEIGHT factor which is skewed. The books are all about 0.6 lbs in the tests, the first one comes out at 3.6 lbs. :(
Guest Posted June 12, 2003 Posted June 12, 2003 I tested again, when I turn off zone shipping to use table rate, the ZONE shipping table defaults to a minimum 3 lbs. But after I specify Zone again and change the table, it uses my rates properly,,, with 3 lbs added to the 1 st item :( . If I use Paypal, checkout works ok, but if I use check/money order, at confirmation I get an error message saying unknown column "customers_company". Anyone knows why?
tcpinhead Posted June 12, 2003 Posted June 12, 2003 Look in your admin under configuration:shipping/packaging:package tare weight. Set that to 0 and see if that helps.
