Question on stylesheet.css and header.php

I would like to include a custom header for my site. I edited the header.php file with no problem to include my logo. But my problem is the stylesheet.css where it keeps putting in a background color

TR.header {

 background: #003E5E;

 

}

Is there any way of taking that out so my header stretches all the way across??

As a gif. or jpg. you can replace the oscommerce logo in header.php just made you image long enought, load your image in images, and replace the oscommerce name with your logo name.

Do you know how long it should be....I did that at 88pxl and there is still a space?

I meant to say 800 pxl

I belive its around 900, some things are trial and error you can alwise can the color of the header in the style sheet to match.
