Use chmod from telnet or right click and select chmod (Unix) in WS_FTP.

If you have telnet access, you can type "ls -al" to see the permissions in a directory and "chmod 777 filename" to change the permissions of a file to 777.

If you have WS_FTP, you can highlight a file by clicking on it and then right click and choose chmod(Unix). This will bring up a dialog box showing the permissions. Other FTP programs probably have a similar feature.

Who knows? There are permissions on directories too and the permissions on every directory down the chain from the root have to be correct.

Hello:

The install instructions say that you are able to edit the main page of the catalog by going in admin, Define Languages, but I too am getting the pink bar at the top.

A LIST of all the permissions for every folder is GREATLY needed, if not appreciated if ANYONE could provide it.

Can someone who already has their shopping cart running, please help us with the proper permissions for the folders?

Thank you!
