jesse9201 Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 Hello, Is there a way that I can give my customers a choice of shipping as follows: UPS Ground (Free), 3 Day Delivery ($21), 2 Day Deliver ($26), Next Day (36.50)? The customer would select from one of the choices above at check out. One of my sites uses a drop shipping company and they are the ones that actually ship UPS etc... All I'm doing is "collecting the fees". (I would then email the customer all tracking no.s etc...) Thanks for a wonderful FREE program and forum to ask newbie questions :)
Guest Posted June 11, 2003 Posted June 11, 2003 Hi, Yes you can setup 3 attributes and call them Shipping or whatever you want. Add these to each product you need. There is an attribute manager contribution which makes it easier.
jesse9201 Posted June 11, 2003 Author Posted June 11, 2003 Linda McGrath's "Multiple Stores" demo site (http://www.thewebmakerscorner.com/multistores/), has what I'm looking for. In the checkout_payment.php (payment method page)- there is a "Shipping Carrier ---Select Preferred Rate" table. You can choose either "regular rate", "2nd Day Air", or "Next Day Air". This is ideal for me, since it is at check out that the customer chooses, not when they are reading the product description. Is there a contribution for this? An easy way to implement this without too many core changes? (I want to prevent my site from "blowing up"). Thanks again for all of your help and suggestions! :)
jesse9201 Posted June 16, 2003 Author Posted June 16, 2003 ... in case anyone has read this thread and would like to do what I requested (show various shipping choices at check out globally, without having to give the choice through each product description/attribute) - use this contribution: "Ship in Cart" http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ns,1094/page,14 It's for MS1 only though. Thanks again to this forum for a wonderful product, and help!
