Order Status Update

When I veiw an order from a customer. I update the status, add a comment, check notify customer. It updates the order but does not send an email to the customer notify them of the change.

 

Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you had any luck on sending emails from the system, such as a newsletter? Does your shop generate an email when the order is placed the first time?

Yes all other email functions appear to be working. Newsletter, order process, my copy of the order process. I haven't tried emailing the customer though (me as a test customer). I will see if that works

I went into the customers account and clicked on the email button. THat worked. I shut off MIME HTML in E-mail options and tried using the order status and still did not work.
