philbish Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 I have searched aroun on many forums for a solution to my problem: I want to use osCommerce but I need a way to keep track of the accounting. I currently use quickbooks but I don't like the interface. I'd rather have something on the web (maybe Nola)... I can't seem to find a way to integrate osC with Nola. How is this done? I tried using osSuite but it is really buggy and there isn't much support for it. I could barely get it to install on my server whereas osC worked just fine. Thank you! I am sure many other people are having this same problem.
orchard Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 Doesn't QuickBooks have a web version? I thought I saw one. I don't use QuickBooks because I don't get the "I posted a credit your debit account" way of thinking. Why not + means I get money, - means I spend money. I think accounting was invented before +/- and never upgraded. :D Plus even when you set QuickBooks for cash basis it still does some reports on accrual basis anyway. Good bookkeepers are a great thing! :D In olden times the men were made of iron and the ships were made of wood; now it's the other way around.
mickeymouse Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 I think accounting was invented before +/- and never upgraded. ROTFLMAO!!!!! I only do what my Rice Krispies tell me to do!
mdfst13 Posted June 10, 2003 Posted June 10, 2003 I saw contributions about importing and exporting from Excel in OSC. Is Nola able to import/export from Excel format? Perhaps you could use that as a bridge... Hth, Matt I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. ---Douglas Adams
philbish Posted June 10, 2003 Author Posted June 10, 2003 Isn't there a way for this to be as automatic as possible... Some way for Nola and osC to sync up lol? Any thoughts on what to do? Thanks!
