install and docs sorely lacking... application_top.php?

ok...so the installation instructions tell you to untar/unzip the source, put it in such and such a folder, run some sql, and then gives a very vague directive to modify application_top.php and make 'necessary changes'. so far, i'm not sure what changes are necessary...and the comments to explain the significance of each define statement are rather thin...which of these need to be changed and to what?

it would be nice to have a guide for changing this file as it seems to be the trickiest part of the install. can anyone point me to some information about how to changes these DEFINE statements to work on my server? if so, I will try to summarize this information for future users...or perhaps expand the comments in APPLICATION_TOP.PHP to make it more easily understood for first time (and possibly inexperienced) users.

I noticed the documentation page could use a little help too. I have some experience creating CHM files. perhaps we can begin crafting some documentation in HTML format which can be displayed here at OSCOMMERCE.COM or in a CHM to be distributed with the project?

I think that you've installed ver2.1 wich is no longer supported

You should install ver2.2MS1 wich is the last stable version

OK...i downloaded the default download from the download page...that's how i got v 2.1. perhaps this page should be changed to the default download is the latest complete version?

also, i found a link to this page....it's not really referenced anywhere in the documentation, but seems like it will be useful for an install.
