From this post http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=47210

I understand to solve my problem of orders not being sent, but money being sent is that I need to upgrade to the newer PayPal IPN. okie dokie :)

Severe newbie Warning!! (not to HTML or building... just to PHP and osC)

Correct me at any point I should be corrected. Here's what I'm going to do as I do not use MYSQL (another old thread and I found I don't really need to use it unless I'm going to make major changes)

Anywhoooo.....

The steps that I will perform will be

1)download the new PayPal IPN and un-zip

2) go into my cPanel and move all the pages I need to replace with the new PayPal IPN into a new folder ... I say move so I still have them incase I mess this up and I can just replace the old ones again if need be.

3)upload (I don't FTP either.... I always mess that up) the new pages where the old pages were.

Will this work?

Thanks!

Terri

When you unzip it there will be a readme file that will explain the step by step installation for the IPN.

The instructions are for the MySQL install..... I won't touch that again. I messed up my whole store the last time I just clicked on it. Isn't there a simpler way for those who are not MySQL savvy?

Scared to proceed without more help.
