Khemikal Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 Well everyone, I was quite proud of myself. With no knowledge of PHP I was able to set up and configure OS Commerce with no questions asked. The one or two questions I did have, that were a bit more complicated than "How do I change the color" (also known as someone with no knowledge of HTML & CSS and should stay far away :) I was able to find by using the search button. Well, I got everything configured like I wanted to on my private server and then moved the entire shebang over to the clients domain name. Well without thinking (I ran out of bawls :() I just overwrote all of their info with my own. So basically when you go into the configuration it points to the test cart on my site. Now I am able to go into the editor and replace all the http://www.mysite.com with http://www.theirsite.com The problem resides in I have no idea where to save this HTML document in order to effect the changes. If my issue wan't clear enough, please let me know so I can try and clarify. Thank you for any help or suggestions in advance. Khem (The artist formerly known has he-who-did-not-mess-up-the-site)
Daemonj Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 Just edit the http server lines in the includes/configure.php files in the catalog and admin folders. Be sure to verify all of the path information and directory information in the other variables are correct as well. That should set you straight. ;) "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence." - A. Einstein
