Guest Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003  Ok...we're new at this stuff. In fact, we're just learning PHP, MySQL, and osCommerce. Hope to have the new osCommerce storefront setup within 4-8 weeks. Currently using standard HTML, 2CheckOut, and links to process our sales. My question is...with an online store such as osCommerce, how does the customer's credit card number get to us so we can ship & charge? We're obtaining a merchant account, probably through Costco. Also obtaining software for online keying in of the charges (any suggestions here???). I assume the customer will fill out the usual form, which includes all the usual billing/shipping information...BUT, the loophole I don't understand yet is how we, as the company, obtain the customer's information? Thanks, Brian
Guest Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 The info is sent to your e-mail at your server account, should find an account to your e-mail on your c-panel. Before setting up your account talk to who your running the cards through to besure the cart will be accepted by them. Just a thought after reading past messages. I do it phone, so I'm not the one to answer the question about setting up an account.
