Change attribute drop-down list to tabular format

Does anyone know how to change the attribute drop-down list so it appears in tabular format?

 

I have a lot of attributes and would like to change the dropdown list to a table so it's easier to select.

 

The code I was looking at from product_info.php is below. I have hi-lited the section of code that builds the dropdown, but I'm not sure how to change this to a table.
