lucilue2003 Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 i want to know how the format is of the email that is sent out to both the customer and to the "send extra order emails to:" can some1 tell me which file is responsible for this ???? I just want to make sure that when an email is sent out, it does not state the cost of the product. Thanks.
hankfrid Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 The email for order confirmation does not include the cost of your products. It includes what the customer saw on the order. Items, shipping, tax etc. What I did was set up an alternate email account (off your ISP or whatever) and set up a test customer, place an order and pay by check or money order and then look at the emails I get. Then go in to admin and change the status of the order and check to notify customer and see how they look. When you are ready to delete the order, you can check a box to restock the inventory, if you alread have live stock in your catalog. HankFrid If I build it...they will come. If I don't try to build it.....I will never know!
radders Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 catalog/checkout_process.php By default it will simply be a copy of the email sent to your customer. It will include your customer's cost of the product (but not your purchase price because oscommmerce doesn't know that). If for example that email is going to a drop-shipper, you may wish to edit this file to change the content of that extra email.
Guest Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 Hi there. I can see you posted this a while ago, but I am trying to do something linked to your suggestion. I would like to send a copy of the order minus prices direct to the drop shipper in order to automate the ordering process a little more. Is there any simple way I can do this, the main thing is getting oscommerce to omit the prices when sending info' to the drop shipper only. I don't want them to see the price I am charging the end customer. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Adam
