proton318 Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 I have a problem with Authorizenet that maybe someone could help me with. First some vital info. My version of osC is pre-milestone. It was a Jan snapshot that I've just got around to working with (probably mistake #1). Next, I have modified MySQL tables to accomodate for two missing fields that came up during testing of the cart. Field one was in the "orders" table. I was missing the "comments" field, so I simply added it. Then the next test run, I got an error saying that I needed a field added in the "order_history_info" table. The missing field was "new_value" ... I have NO IDEA what variables were supposed to be set for these fields, so that could be causing my problem. Finally I am using Bao Nguyen's ADC module to link back and fourth to my Authnet account. Here's the glitch (keep in mind it may have something to do with the tables I had to add) ... everything seemed to work fine for the first transaction, it posted just fine and then I voided & deleted it. However, now I when I run subsiquent transactions, it does not correctly process them. Example: I can run the entire transaction all the way through to the end of osC and it says that the transaction was successfully processed ... but when I look at my unsettled transactions on my Authnet site, they just don't exist. So I called Authnet and we tried to run several more test transactions, but they just never showed up at Authnet. In fact, we even changed the destination url "secure.authnet.com ..." to another url to provide an echo response, and osC still says every transaction was successful, when in fact, they never interfaced with Authnet's system at all (and no echo either). So this complicates matters a lot. I get no error responses from osC but I get no real transaction data transfer between Authnet and osC. In fact, I ran a transaction with a credit card that did not have the correct billing address (for AVS) and should have been rejected because AVS=N and/or because it was over it's limit and osC still said the transaction was approved. There is no data going back and fourth between osC and Authorizenet. Could adding the tables without proper variables in some way have effected the reults of the transactions after the initial successful transaction? If so, could someone please tell me what the variables should be set to for the fields I had to add in those tables? If not, what could be causing this to happen? Please be as DETAILED as possible when responding. Thanks (in advance) for the help! Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around. Delegated to web lackey - again.
proton318 Posted June 6, 2003 Author Posted June 6, 2003 Okay, here's another question ... would it be flirting with disaster to upgrade to the milestone version of osC?? I have downloaded the ZIP file and I'm just looking at it .. wondering how much of a problem it would be to go to that version. Of course, I can make a back-up of the files I already have, no that they are doing me much good right now ... but ... what's the opinion on the idea of upgrading? Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around. Delegated to web lackey - again.
