Everything is a mess here--i have to find a fix for most aspects of the cart

for instance if i set default currency to cdn---it always defaults back to usd and in the subtotal it doesnt calculate taxes in--anyways you have to see it to believe it.

I have 7 years programming expereince and was hoping to bank on your application to save me some time bu it appears that i will have to rewrite most of it---why bother

i have found most of the problems and managed to patch this thing together---just curious as to whether this is the same team that releases the windows os??? lol sorry couldnt help it

perhaps beta testing might be a good plan thanks to all of you who have taken the time to find the fixes

I don't think you are very fair .......

The OSC community is doing a great job. There are over 1200 shops using OSC without any what you call "bugs"

Maybe you should read the docs and take some time to get used to the program, understand it.

In the oter case you could delete it from your server and make one of your own, or go elswhere.

That is a fair assumption, maybe you should put some of your 7 years experience into oscommerce. I have gathered just from been here for a few months that the community is very helpfull and devoted to getting the most out of a FREE and OPENSOURCE online shop.

Keep going!

You are beta testing it... There are two types of downloads.

1) a very old Preview Concept labeled osCommerce 2.1 Preview Release

2) a newer Preview Concept labeled osCommerce 2.2 MS1.

And then of course you have the CVS snapshots which should be considered Beta at their best.

my point is that alot of the bugs have arisen out the new release and some things havent been fixed from the previous version--so i simply suggest tha perhaps the original features be patched before the newer versions are released--anyways i am currently putting my experience into oscommerce and have debugged my problems--thanks

Are you going to report these so-called bugs ( http://www.oscommerce.com/community/bugs ) for the betterment of OSC or are you just going to keep them to yourself? I seriously doubt it's nearly as bad as you say (I have a number of shops running on the CVS version without a single problem) but report them and let others be the judge.
