kalukee Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 is the anyway to multiply the price by a number instead of adding a vallue to the price? i have one attibute ....laminate yes no my pricing structure is that laminated costs 1.9 times the regular price. so i cant just create the option cuz i dont have a defined value to add to the price any ideas thanks
prosto Posted June 5, 2003 Posted June 5, 2003 I dopn think you can multiply the price by a certain number (not without serious editing) Correct me if I am wrong but are you trying to have just one attribute applicable to all of yuor products immediately? I dont think this is possible You will have to assign this attribute to each and every product manually. So then why not use this formula (base price)x1.9 - (base price) = (value price) and go with that? Of course if your base price changes, you'd have to adjust attribute as well... Thanks
Ajeh Posted June 6, 2003 Posted June 6, 2003 If I were to write this where the prefix can be +, blank, - or * and when * it took the (products_price * options_values_price) - products_price and if the options_values_price > 1 it showed a + on the new calculated options_values_price and if < 1 showed a - on the new calculated options_values_price does this sound like it would do what you are looking for?
kalukee Posted June 9, 2003 Author Posted June 9, 2003 Ajeh I think that is exactly what i am looking for. I'm trying to avoid doing all the math manually and then manually adding the attribute to every product as well. Ideally I would like to say lamination costs 1.9 times the base price and create the atribute and then use your atribute copier and sorter to take care of applying it to all my products. 10.95 * 1.9 = 20.805 - 10.95 = +9.855 19.95 * 1.9 = 37.905 - 19.95 = +17.995 or 10.95 * .9 = +9.855 19.95 * .9 = +17.995 thanks
