Guest Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 I am having trouble with adding sales tax for colorado, I have a tax zone for Colorado set up and a tax rate of 6.5 for colorado, taxable goods, but when I set it up, it addes the taxes to the intial prices, not at the end for people that are from Colorado??? Please help. Am I doing something wrong, or is it problems with my script, I just change from windows to unix server and I am also having trouble with my cart during checkout. Any suggesting would be greatly appreciated. Doug http://www.prospectorstore.com
Daemonj Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 Check Admin ~ Configuration ~ My store for the setting Show Prices with Tax. It should be False. Guest Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 I dont see where I can change it, are you talking about within the admin panel or manully changing the configuration.php file. I am using the 2.1 version, could that be the problem? Doug
Daemonj Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 Oops, sorry about that. The information that I provided was for the 2.2 version of osCommerce. I am unfamiliar with 2.1. If this is a fresh install then I would certainly suggest using 2.2 instead. "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. Guest Posted July 9, 2003 Posted July 9, 2003 I have upgraded to 2.2 and I still see no where to turn off the option to add taxes to everything... Please help... Doug
Daemonj Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 Check in Admin ~ Configuration ~ My store and near the bottom of the list there should be an option for Display Prices with Tax - set it to false. If you have not done much with your install (modifications, etc.) you might want to wait a few days for MS2. "Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocre minds. Guest Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 I have upgraded it to MS1 and it isnt there, my application top, doesnt have it at all. and it isnt in my configuration.
Daemonj Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 If you are using MS1, it should be in the Configuration ~ My store section near the middle/bottom. Are you looking by eye trying to find the entry or are you using a text editor's find function? If you are using the find function, what are you searching for (exactly)? Guest Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 I do use the find feature when searching, I am not sure of the exact line, but it was something like DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX', false I have tried to search this in the application_top.php in the catalog/includes and the catalog/admin/includes folder, both with no luck in finding it, I is it possible that I have a corrupted download an are missing parts of 'My Store' controls. Here is a copy of 'My Store': Store Name Prospector Store.Com Store Owner Doug Springfield E-Mail Address [email protected] E-Mail From [email protected] Country United States Zone Colorado Expected Sort Order desc Expected Sort Field date_expected Switch To Default Language Currency false Send Extra Order Emails To Extra Order<[email protected]> Use Search-Engine Safe URLs (still in development) true Display Cart After Adding Product true Allow Guest To Tell A Friend true Default Search Operator and Store Address and Phone The Prospector Store.Com 4316 9th Street West Greeley, CO 80634 USA 1(970)304-0240 Store Name Here is a copy of everything that is under 'my store' in the administration control panel, but nothing about taxes. Any Ideas??? Doug
Guest Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 when you login, the blue panel appears, click on "my store", then at the bottom, click on "display prices with taxes" click " false"
Guest Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 Hi thanks for your response, but if you read my entire reply, I show all of the avalible items to change in my 'my store' and there is no option to change any taxes. I copied everything and pasted it in the post, that is all that there is in my store...Maybe I have a corupted file? Doug
Guest Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 Hi thanks for you reply, but if you read my reply, you can see, that I have copyied and pasted everything form 'my store' in my reply and there is no tax options at all... Doug
Guest Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 Can't find that feature either and I'm using version 2.2.... Thx
Guest Posted July 10, 2003 Posted July 10, 2003 Check through your cart, it has been a while since I seen that version, maybe in shipping module, or taxes, there should be a line that say, add taxes to product, or something like that, set to"false". I know it should be there, somewhere
Guest Posted July 11, 2003 Posted July 11, 2003 line 1137 in catalog/includes/application_top.php says define('DISPLAY_PRICE_WITH_TAX', true) change that true to false
