Pricing Question

BZProd

Recommended Posts

Hello,

The manufacturer that I deal with requires a minimum published pricing policy. They have told me that I have to show all guests the price of $600 and show people logged on the price of $550. How can I do this easily? I have tried the member discount mod but it seems that I have to manually flag members. I want everyone who logs in to get the discounted pricing. Is this possible?

I encountered this post by someone:

Hi,

I don't know if this has been made available by someone else, if so , if not- then here goes:

To allow people that just sign up to have access to the discount for members (meaning: you as the administrator does not have to manually flag a customer as a "member") add this line to /catalog/create_account_process.php:

Replace (line 2 hundred something):

'customers_default_address_id' => 1);

With:

// begin edit to auto flag for discount for DISCOUNT FOR MEMBERS

'customers_default_address_id' => 1,

'member_flag' => 1);

// end edit to auto flag for DISCOUNT FOR MEMBERS

There does not seem to be create_account_process.php on my shop. Has this been moved elsewhere? I installed the latest version. Thanks!

I have set up in the Shoppe Enhancement Controller a List price.

I do not distinguish between turning that on or off, but you could do something similar.

You would need to locate all the areas where a price is obtained and change which is displayed and when based on login.

It is not hard to do, just time consuming.

Thank you for the quick response. I do not need to turn it on and off. It will be on all the time. Does this mean that I can use your mod as is? This sounds really nice. Thank you. Please let me know if I can use it as is...I am not too familiar with writing my own code. Thanks a million for your help!

God Bless,

Patrick

You can go look at what the SECv1.0a does based on the 03-24-2003 snapshot ... I am about to release SECv1.0c based on the 05-31-2003 snapshot or perhaps the 06-01-2003 depending on the changes.
