arbocenc Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 Hello, I've seen any e-shops that let customers edit a "template" shop basquet. That's very usefull for shops like a supermarket, where people order usually the same basic products. When you can create and edit a template, you can save a lot of time because, at first, when you are logged on, you only need edit your pre-defined basquet and then choose a few products... Is it possible with OSCommerce? I've got a second question/comment. I've already seen any flash shop that are very fast, because they needn't reload the page when you've added a product in your basket. It seems really nice but, has it got any problems? Thanks a lot, Arbocenc [email protected] www.delaterra.net organic food in Catalonia
cvos Posted June 3, 2003 Posted June 3, 2003 I have made and posted a true template system that lets each file reside in separate of the main container, which is rolled into /index.php It allows you to create your own template and easily modify design while separating the PHP code. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1260 I think flash carts can be good, but i dont have flash installed because i hate the "skip intro" ego designs.
beeonline Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 Hi Cayley Just downloaded your contribution for a web templates system and I can see you have put alot of time into this project.... I am learning php/mysql at the moment on the fly so to speak and am trying to get to grips with oscommerce... One of the major problems is the ability to integrate a website design of my choice into oscommerce and I feel this is what you are trying to address in your contribution... good for you.. The reason for my input is to ask if it is possible for you to create a more precise list of instructions on how to install your contribution... so that I can use it... and possibly other beginner/intermediate php/mysql programmers... I have created 2 php non mysql e-commerce sites using PHPcart, granted, a much simpler system in comparison to oscommerce....BUT I can create a site with the design/feel etc. the way I require as a designer... unfortunately PHPcart will not do the job for the site I am designing at the moment... Regards Malc
Guest Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 Hi Arbocenc, I'm afraid Cayley did not understand your post. The "shopping list" you are thinking of does not exist exactly the way you are thinking of at the moment. You might be able to adapt the "WishList" contribution to do it though.
azer Posted June 7, 2003 Posted June 7, 2003 yes i did understant you arbocenc and i m sure someone already implement that in osc , a pre definied basket , but u ll need to make new table and have a button to let customer save their cart as a pre defined cart ... they could also have several ... seems interesting feature! Erico Posted September 13, 2003 Posted September 13, 2003 Hi, I'm developing a e-shop that is a supermarket and I need the "template" shop basquet too. I would like to know if you have discovered any solution. Thanks, Erico. Erico
jpf Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 There are a few for osCommerce. Check this link: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions/category,8 And there is a few working on other versions (Smarty and PHPNuke??) that have not been released - check the forums for updates on those. Good Luck
