I know this is probably a long shot, but here is goes.

I have a store that I am working on that will be selling concession and snack bar supplies.

I have an item, for my example, I will use Sno-Cone Syrup.

Sno-Cone Syrup is sold three different ways - by the Quart, by the Gallon, and by the Case (4 Gallons per Case). Right now, I am setting up three different product items. One for each way the syrup is sold (quart, gallon, and case). So far, so good.

Here is where I am having a problem. Sno-Cone Syrup comes in about 20 different flavors. In order for my customers to be able to choose the flavor they want, I have to set up a different product not only for each way the syrup is sold, but also for each and every different flavor it comes in. The price and weight for way they are sold is the same for each item, no matter what flavor it comes in. It only changes based on the wheter they are buying a quart, gallon, or case. That is a total of 60 different product items.

First of all, it is very time consuming to enter 60 items. Also, I only have one picture (gif), so I don't want to repeat it for each item. So I have just used the picuture for the "Sno-Cone Syrup" catagory heading. That's OK. However, once I have entered all sixty items, and they appear on one page, other than the different flavors, it all looks the same, and it is hard to tell what you are looking at.

So - this is what I am looking for.

I have looked over the available contributions, and did not see one that offered this, but I am hoping that maybe I just overlooked it.

I am looking for a way that will allow me to enter ONLY three product items (as per my Sno-Cone example above). However, under each item, I would like to have radio buttons or check boxes that will allow me to assign a different "flavor" to. This way when my customers purchase Sno-Cone Syrup, they will only see three options in that catagory. When they decide whether they are going to purchase either a quart, a gallon, or a case, and click on that item, it will give them a choice, via one of these buttons, that they can then choose the flavor they want.

Is there a contribution out there that will do this? Or if not, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks.

I think Linda's SEC (shop enhancement controller) contrib will do what you want. Just about the only thing it doesn't do is allow stock control on attributes.

There's quite a long thread on this contribution too.
