Found solution to error: SMTP Server Response 501 5.5.4

Warning: mail() [function.mail]: SMTP server response: 501 5.5.4 Invalid Address in d:homedirsflashadvanceshop_testincludesclassesemail.php on line 500

This error occured with Microsoft Windows IIS and Microsoft Exchange.

When something was in the variable: 'Send Extra Orders To'

 

Go to your admin area from OSCommerce,

Go to your configuration

Go to MyStore

Go to Send Extra Orders To

Edit this

 

Well it says you have to input the e-mail address in the format 'name <email@domain>' but for Microsoft IIS and Microsoft Exchange this isn't right.

If you want the extra orders to be send to an extra e-mail adress, just typ in the adres in this format:

email@domain

 

So without 'name <' and '>'

 

It took me 4 days to figure this out... but everything is working perfectly with me now.

 

Also I did what this page told me to do, but only doing this wasn't enough... it was the format of the e-mails:
