lizard_boy Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 I installed OS Commerce a few weeks ago. At that time we hadn't changed the DNS to our new server so I installed it on our new server using its IP address. We've now have the domain name pointing to the proper server, but the SSL cerfiticate comes up as invalid because it is expecting the name and the store seems to be installed under the IP address. Feel free to take a look: http://www.shosum.com/catalog Thanks Radio Shack: "You've got questions, we've got batteries."
lizard_boy Posted May 30, 2003 Author Posted May 30, 2003 Is there a reason I can't edit my post - there's some bad grammar & spelling up there. Radio Shack: "You've got questions, we've got batteries."
Ajeh Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Edit your /includes/configure.php files to now use the domain name for you site and not the IP address. As to editing, it messes up the newsgroups if you can edit them.
sokkerbob Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 Also noticed that certificate was issued to "shosum.com" without the "www". Depending on type of certificate you have, this can give you some warning messages (which freak some people). The fix is to make sure you do not use the "www" in your configure.php settings. BTW, the adminstrators of this forum have the edit post option disabled. Best practice for now is to use the "preview" feature.
lizard_boy Posted May 30, 2003 Author Posted May 30, 2003 Thank you Ajeh & sokkerbob for replies - just edited my configure.php and everything looks like it's working now. I've been lurking here for a while - this was the first time I couldn't find a previous thread which addressed my problem. Thanks for all the great info & support you guy provide here.
