Error when adding product to cart ??

I keep getting this error when I click on the 'check out' in the header or if I click on 'in cart' button to add a product. The error is below...

I checked and deleted the space left at the end of the english.php file. NOTHING.

 

For some odd reason.. this only happens when I edit the application_top.php file. I am only changing a true to false.. nothing more. But as soon as I save the changes. I get that error. But if I restore the file from my backup i am fine. even if I change the false back to true which it originally was. I still get that error.

 

Please help.
