Database Setup Problem

Hi,

I am new in OSCommerce and PHP, I have come from ASP/SQL/Oracle background. I am trying to setup the cart on my web site. I am facing problems to setup the databae. Please advise...

 

1. Do I need to ask my hosting company to prvoide mysql server?

2. If they cant' give me mysql facility can I use any other database? like access etc?

Hi

 

You have to have access to mySQL from your ISP, and theres no other database that will work with osCommerce.
