Guest Posted May 28, 2003 Posted May 28, 2003 Hello I think lot of people dreams out to get the shop with alternative payment solution look at that article http://news.zdnet.co.uk/story/0,,s2081200,00.html I think it would be great to add some kind of little module for that, so customers without credit cards can purchase a plastic card with unique pin code, they activate it and add as "available balance" to their account, so every time customer will order, they can choose payment method - either to buy with Credit Card or the PIN code they got after scratch-off the card. Please anyone give me a comment maybe there are people already did it or will begin? Please let me know thanks
Guest Posted May 30, 2003 Posted May 30, 2003 There are already schemes similar to this in use in the UK splash plastic, e-top up and some others allow teenagers etc to add credit to a card and then they can use that card to buy things. A bit like topping up a mobile phone. Im not sure if there are any mods but it probably wouldnt be hard to integrate the solution into a store, i bet it will require going to a 3rd party processer like most do anyway. I currently except Vodafone M pay cards on my site and that allows people of all ages to pay for stuff using there mobile. I definitely think there will be more alternate ways to pay for stuff on the web as time goes on, but also consumer confidence will grow in using the good ol Credit card :)
