garyidweb Posted May 25, 2003 Posted May 25, 2003 We currently let customers choose a free gift if they spend over ?35. The free gifts are placed in a category with all the prices set to ?0 for the customer to add one to their cart. The problem is we often get orders with multiple free gifts ordered. Is it possible to warn customers with an error message (i.e stop them going to the checkout if their is more than one free gift in their cart) Any snippets of code that would achieve this would be greatly appreciated Many Thanks
Jayman2 Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 I had asked a question similar to your's a long time ago. It would be nice to have a contribution where when a customer spent a certain amount, a special "free gift" page would appear. I like the idea of a "free gift of the month", where the admin could specify the gift yourself. Then to prevent what is happening to you, it could be set like this... when the customer gets to the checkout page, the cart can only contain the one "free gift" with their order and if they decided to be slick and go back to their cart and remove an item, the free gift would also be removed.
