Text links to PIcs & adding real thumbnails

Hello fellow osCommerce Comrades,

 

 

Just visited the My Store forum to find out if it would be possible to configure my store in a certain way by looking at other stores.

 

And yes the possibilites are endless.

 

Here is what I would like to do:

1)When you click a category I want all the thumnails to be seen, eliminating the default text links.

2)The thumnails to be different files (actual thumbnails) and not squashed pics of the blow-ups.

 

I found this link for changing default textlinks to thumbnails. Would someone please confirm that this is the way to accomplish this and if anyone has any added advice that sure would be nice too.

As far as having actual thumnails I have not really found any documentation on that subject yet. If anyone could direct me to that documentation that would be cool or advice.
