Sams2000 Posted May 25, 2003 Posted May 25, 2003 Where can I change it? I know that there is a comment in the wiki doc. but this problem is not solved in it! Thank you!!
hankfrid Posted May 25, 2003 Posted May 25, 2003 You should be able to go to your: catalog/includes/functions/general.php and search for tep_customer_greeting and change the $customer_first_name, to $customer_gender, $customer_last_name, you may have to add a ' ', in between to get a space between them? Just what I think you need to do from searching around. Let me know how that goes. PS: I am only assuming the last name field above is broken into last_name as opposed to lastname. I didn't find it, but it should follow the pattern of first name. HankFrid If I build it...they will come. If I don't try to build it.....I will never know!
Sams2000 Posted May 26, 2003 Author Posted May 26, 2003 It did not work! I changed it in both lines. After that I logged in and it shows: "Welcome guest ...."
hankfrid Posted May 27, 2003 Posted May 27, 2003 If it used to show the first name and now after making that change it shows only "Guest", and you've made no other changes to any programs, then I would think that you were in the right spot, but maybe something got missed in the code. Otherwise, if it wasn't the right spot, I would suspect that you would've still gotten just first name. Can you cut and paste the code, so I can see it? Maybe me or someone else can spot something with it. HankFrid If I build it...they will come. If I don't try to build it.....I will never know!
MeMadMax Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 Hi, Did you ever figure out how to add the last name ($customer_first_name, $customer_last_name) to the welcome message? I know it needs to be done in general.php file and I have tried several times with no luck. Jim -------------------------------------------------------------------------- How can you tell when your out of invisible ink? Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!
graxxon Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 Check login.php where customer_firstname => customer_first_name :rolleyes:
