Hi..I have to upload for starters 65,000 product images . They are between 5k and 30k each. The product images I was given were on 3 CD which had 4 subfolders on each CD. I believe I have to un nest them all and place them on teh image folder directly so the linls to the images won't break. My windows machines stop allowing me to copy the files from subfolders to a main image folder at 21,844. Is that a Windows thing even though it's only abouty 500 meg or is it me? I'm attempting to create my image folder with the osCommerce image files on it as well and then just upload it to my osCommerce site. Make any sense. How does everyone else handle big files like this. Anyway I can just upload smaller sub folders to the image folder on my osCommerce site and having the image links work??

TIA

I would just FTP all of the folders and images to the server and then update the product records.

I agree..I'm just unsure where and how to update the product images. I believ I'm using 2.1. By the way. The client originally wanted only 10,000 images!!!!

Thanks

If the product's record already have the image name and just need to be updated for the folder and the folder is based upon the product's category, you could run a few sql statements from within PHPMyAdmin or the MySQL client.

Otherwise, possibly take a look at the Easy Populate contribution.

You might want to consider upgrading to 2.2. ;)

I hope that you are charging them. ;)
