GluedToTheScreen Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 I'm trying to figure out how to satisfy a requirement... to add a waiver fee (sort of like insurance). I think it should work somewhat like a type of SHIPPING in that it is based on a percentage of the purchase subtotal ... and I'd like it to appear below the subtotal just like shipping. Seems like I should be able to copy/rename shipping and start from there... but, it appears to touch the configuration table in the database and I really DON'T want to cause a conflict. Any published details on how to implement a new module? I've looked but haven't found anything helpful.
mattice Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 There is documentation on how the shipping mod itself works in the EXTRAS folder but that is about it. If you copy the shipping module and rename the class you should be okay. The db insert is only for activate / deactivate / module details and is added after the last one.
