Guest Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 Hello, I defined a couple of product options named "color" and "lining". They both have an option value of "blue", which has been defined in the option values. When I select a product in the product attributes, I now have two "blue" options. Are they redundant? How do I know which one to select ... TIA -R
Guest Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 Put the word lining for the one that is blue lining! Thomas Hello, I defined a couple of product options named "color" and "lining". Guest Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 But the question is are they redundant ... can I just define a list of colors and then use them for all options?
Guest Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 If I understand you, you only want one blue option. So there is a product that comes in one color and has a lining option that can come into several colors Then change to linings so that they reflect the colors, i.e. blue lining , red lining, etc. The attributes are associated with the product so if you add additional options, they need their own attributes. Are linings required? If so then the above approach is most likely the correct one! Declaimer: I may be wrong but this is what I think! Thomas Do you have a test site?
