Guest Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 Hi, all, I had a problem where my SSL was not working. My https would not kick in during checkout or account login/setup even after configuring both of my configure.php files. Despite what some posts I have read here say, my problem was that I installed OSC BEFORE I added a dedicated IP and SSL to my domain. That's it. All I had to do was set up my SSL then reinstall my OSC and it worked fine. I am using version 2.2 MSI, by the way. I hope this helps some of you that have been having this problem. Whew, I was ready to give up after weeks of trying with no results. Good thing I stuck to it. Hopefully this will be the last major problem I run into so I can finally get things up and running.
mcbsolutions Posted June 24, 2003 Posted June 24, 2003 My host just installed my SSL cert AFTER I have OSC up and running fine for quite some time. I thought all I would have to do is modify my configure.php files to enable SSL to true. After I modified these files, I get internal server errors, 500, when going to checkout_shipping.php, for starters. So I put my configure.php files back to SSL = false so things work while I sort this out. I hope this is something simple. Surely I don't have to run the install script again, do I? All my host told me is the cert is installed for my domain and here is the new IP. Thanks for assistance folks! Steve
mcbsolutions Posted June 25, 2003 Posted June 25, 2003 Please disregard my question.. my host got it working for me.. apparently it had something to do with httpd.conf, which I don't have access to on their server.
