New products for "month"

Is there any way or maybe someone has done a controbution already where i can only have 3 items there instead of 9 and also instead of new products for that month i can choose what is down there?

 

if not then just making it only 3 instead of 9 would be nice.

In the admin side of store

admin/configuration/maximum values/new products module and change the value

You might want to take a look in the contributions section for an add on called "Featured Products" it makes a box like the new products only you get to pick the featured stuff. Pretty cool, huh?

You can also control which products are displayed by editing the date added field using phpMyAdmin. The most recently added products are displayed.
