When is the order taking place in orders_total?

Hi,

 

When I put something in my cart, a new post is taking place in customers_basket.

But when will that post take place in orders_total?

 

The reason I'm woundring is that I'm up to connect a new payment service and I need to send them the total price of the whole order, including tax & shipping. And as I know that price is in orders_total with the class ot_total.

Can you get that price in any other way, so I can post it right?
