Anyone have an idea as to why I cannot delete a customer account?

You go in admin/customers/customers and you delete what you want

Perhaps I had better explain a bit better.

I go into admin/customers and click the customer I want to delete then click delete and accept the deltion. But when the page refresshes (no warnings/errors) the customer is still there. Any ideas?

See I created a test customer. Now that it is up and running I want to delete that customer. Only for some reason it is not removing them. I just need to know where I should be looking.

Thanks

hi,

i have this problem, too!!

did you use a snapshot or an released version?

did you installed any mods?

i have the "12/31/2002 - Seperate Pricing Per Customer v3.3".

and now i see there is a new version...

maybe the error is caused by the mod?

Still trying to figure this one out. Anyone?

Did you try going into phpmyadmin (or whatever tool you use) and manually deleting them and their info from customer db?

Do you receive an error message or any other type of notification as to why the delete did not work?

Does this customer have any purchase history that might keep it from being deleted?

(This thread sounds like 20 questions.)

Also, I find it useful to have a test or dummy client for various reasons from time to time..

hi,

okay...

1. of course i could delete the customer with phpmyadmin

2. no error message appeared!!! i select the customer then the frame with "edit, orders, delete, email" appear. then i select "delete" the following window locks exactly like the old one!

3. no the customer have no purchase history or anything. i create a new and direct after this i try to delete it. But this combination brings me an idea. could it be that i couldn't delete because i installed the "Seperate Pricing Per Customer v3.3"? In this mod i have to add a customer group in the customer table...

thanks. yours la

I have a clean new snapshot (20030617), and have installed the XMember mod. It works great, but I cannot delete customers through the admin interface, and yes, I have done it through phpMySQLAdmin. It would just be nice that my store manager wouldn't have to ask me to remove someone.

Anyone else?

I've discovered that using the CVS version is not a good thing for noobs like me.

I switched to the MS1 and after a couple of tweaks, it runs like a champ.

Hi there,

I am having the same problem as this old post that never seemed to get answered.

I can't delete my customers from admin and when I try to delete them from my php the delete o.k. but when I go back to my admin they are still there and when I try to delete them again I get the following message

Warning: reset(): Passed variable is not an array or object in /home/scrapbox/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 17

Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home/scrapbox/public_html/catalog/admin/includes/classes/object_info.php on line 18

Which wasn't there until I deleted this customer with php

When I just try and delete the customer in my shop admin - it goes through the motions but when I delete them and accept - they don't disappear?

Does not matter if customer has orders or not - any help would be appreciated I have 20 odd test customers for different discount scenarios set up that I know want to delete before I go live so they don't clog up my shop.

thanks
