drakonan
Hello, I need to compress my osCommerce site, upload it to my web host, and uncompress it remotely (say via SSH) The problem is I use Windows, and the host uses Linux. I'm not even sure what a GZ and a tar file is... But I need to make a tar.gz file on my windows box to upload the site onto the Linux box. THEN I've got to "unzip" it using SSH. Can anyone help me? This is - - - - Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
zlack
Most *nix hosts have unzip (just a program) as well. At least the ones i have and had do. Try to find that out first. If they do, just upload it. Login using a terminal (for example putty) and just "unzip filename.zip" Good luck, zlack It's easier to remember, then to forget
