djriel Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 How do you make product weight in ounces? Kind Regards, -DJ
shagymoe Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Djriel, The weight can be in any units that you want. All you have to do is be consistent. So, if you enter "1" for the weight, it could be 1 ounce, 1 pound, 1 kilogram...whatever. As long as all of your product weights are entered in ounces, everything is fine. So, for instance, if you only know the weight of another product in pounds, then convert it to ounces and enter that number for the weight. Hope that helps. Matt
djriel Posted May 20, 2003 Author Posted May 20, 2003 I guess to further clarify, if I enter a number, USPS or UPS's modules see it as pounds. How would I change it to see it as ounces? Kind Regards, -DJ
rseigel Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 UPS and USPS require the weight to be in pounds (at least here in the US).
djriel Posted May 20, 2003 Author Posted May 20, 2003 Ahhh so I take it, just round to the nearest pound? Kind Regards, -DJ
Ajeh Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 16oz in 1 pound 12 oz in .75 pounds 8 oz in .5 pounds 4 oz in .25 pounds 2 oz in .125 pounds 1 oz in .0625 pounds
djriel Posted May 21, 2003 Author Posted May 21, 2003 H thanks for the table, although I have tried it before with the decimal and it still seemed to ignore it, but I'll dig a bit deeper into it... Kind Regards, -DJ
sneakyimp Posted December 11, 2003 Posted December 11, 2003 so the weights are unitless but the UPS shipping module requires pounds? can OSc handle those decimal amounts for weight?? j FlashMOG - make multiplayer games in Flash/PHP!
