How do I get site to come up without /default.php?

Hi guys,

 

I was wondering how I might get the site to come up without the need to add default.php after the domain. I would think the default.php would work in the same way as index.html.

Check out the installation document for osCommerce. It explicitly tells you how to do just that.

change default.php to index.php

 

catalog/default.php to index.php

includes/languages/default.php to index.php (all the languages you have)

includes/applications_top.php find default.php change it to index.php

There is another way that not require osc modification.

 

Create or edit .htaccess file (if ISP allows it) in main osc folder and /admin

 

Add line:

 

DirectoryIndex default.php

 

That's all

I am so glad that I stuck with this cart. Not only is it the absolutely best cart for opensource at minimum but all the willing people to support is bar none.
